WINDOWS VISTA HELP ON LAPTOP!!!!!!!?

I need help!!!!!!!!!

ok here is my story

i had norton on my laptop and it expired

so my friend sent me a new anti virus that is free that he always uses. so i install the anti virus and delete norton. just as i restart my laptop when i log in there is this message that says i need to restart my computer because of a problem that is occuring.

it resets everytime i log in

i did system restore like 10 times

whats the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this sucks and when i do have the chance when it doesent happen i cant open my internet

damn!!!!!!!!!!

please please please anyone help me whats the problem

try to boot up to safe mode by pressing F8 as you boot up

when in safe mode go add and remove and remove the anti virus your friend gave you

also check that you have removed all norton

restart and hopefully it will work again

may i suggest you ask your friend to download avast free edition and register for a key

this is free as well

The problem is you delete a program and it left files behind. Always use add/remove programs, never delete a program. For Norton you always use the uninstall feature or down load the removal tool from Norton's website. To correct the problem you will have to remove the other security program then install Norton and remove it properly and then Install the other security program or install a new operating system. The left behind Norton files and the new security software are causing a system program conflict.
