Windows Vista vs Windows XP?

Question

I want to know which OS is better because i went to vista home page and it has 100 reasons to get windows vista. It really differ from windows xp. I'm want to upgrade my computer to windows vista ultimate. Is it stable enough??? So anyone can help me???

Here are my computer specs:

120 GB Hard Drive

2 GB RAM

Intel Core 2 Quad Processor

DVD/RW Player

512 MB ATI Radeon Graphics Card

I got this new computer 2 months ago with xp preinstalled.

I'm sure it would be good especially since it's a newer computer, the graphics card isn't the best, since it's 512, but, you can run the vista advisor to make sure =) And the 2 gig will be great too, i plan on buying 2 gig also, and then i will have 2GB + 1/2

I'm sure it will handle it great except the aero, but, you can always disable that if you would like.

Use XP. I always buy latest computer notebook but got real mad with my vista. Always hang when closing my microsoft applications. Sometimes during my powerpoint presentation also hang.

XP is so stable that I have no choice but to buy another computer with XP.

With vista, I got a lot of problem with the installation of my HP laser printer, always error message.

I even gave away my latest notebook with vista to my maid when she goes back. If u go vista web site, they will not give u 100 reasons to get vista but 1000s. This is called marketing.

Anyway, it is the interface that makes the computer look more "in" or cool. Ultimately, what we want is stability, isn't it?

MS has extended support for XP until 2018. Why not just use the more memory-efficient XP on through until "Windows 7" comes out?

("Windows 7" is already in the works, which purdy much says to ME that MS admits Vista is a klunker.)
