Why don't/can't I listen?

I am 23 and completed 3.5 years of college (I'm having money problems at the moment so currently I am not enrolled in school). I am a relatively smart person but I seem to lack common sense. I just don't seem to think sometimes. Why is that? Also, I occasionally have a hard time listening to people. Someone will say something to me and I have to ask them to repeat it or I just don't hear them, almost like I'm tuning them out. What's wrong with me?

It's not that you're not thinking enough, it's because you're thinking too much. Think strategically about the words, as opposed to feeding on them. Picture a scenario about what they are talking about consists. It's not about what they are saying it's why. And since you are about to fade out I'll end this with. (o Y o) that get your attention?

There is nothing wrong with you. You are just one of those people that can only handle one thing at a time. Sounds like you might be on over load right now with going through money problems and having to quit school for now. I think you are in deep thought about what is going on with you and it is taking over your life. You need to concentrate on the thing that is important to you right now and get that thing done and then you will free up your mind. I think you know what I am talking about.
