Why does my kitten keep licking me?

My cat likes to lick my armpits and the inside of my ears. I have to push her off of me. Why does my kitten like to lick me? Thanks

Your kitten likes the salt on your skin from sweating.

1. Cats like the salt content of your skin. Humans have salty skin, even if they are not sweating, there is still a good amount of salt on them.

2. She loves you! When cats groom each other that is a sign of affection and means she wants to take care of you. My cat licks me and even nibbles on my nose when I sleep while kneading (or "making biscuits", as my mom calls it) on my lap. Since she's a kitten you probably remind her of her mom.

One of the 6 cats I've owned in my life does that and chances are it'll never stop when they come over to you just move them and don't let them but they'll come back a couple of times. After a while they get bored and leave you alone but the cat'll keep doing that chances are.

She is grooming you which is a "I love you" in cat language. She is putting her scent on you to tell other cats that you belong to her.
