1 Betta & 5 Gallon Tank?

Question

I have a single Male Veiltail Betta in a five gallon tank. For decor, I have a small ship, two plastic plants (which are harmless), and a small blowfish (decor type). I also have a Whisper filter. I want to know if it is safe to add One Cory Catfish and Two Cherry Barbs. I also want to know what types of foods to get for the Cherry Barb and Cory Catfish (food I can buy from Petsmart or Walmart). Thanks.

I thought it over and instead I am adding Two Cory Catfish and forgetting the Cherry Barbs. Can you please tell me if this is okay instead. Also, please tell me what type of food to get from Petsmart or Walmart for the Cory Catfish.

I think you could get by with adding a couple of ghost shrimp. But no more than 3.

No. Do not add ANY type of animal in this tank. You can MAYBE add one snail.

Cories need to be in a 20 gallon and in groups, and cherry barbs need the same.

no. 1 betta alone needs 5 gals. you will be overstocking the tank and causing problems. if you want to add more fish get a bigger tank. since you know what fish you want do research and how much space those breeds need then just buy a bigger tank that can accomidate all the without overstocking.

idk about those fish so i cannot suggest what tank size you need. but like i said since you know what fish you want you can easily google information which you should easily be doing in this hobby already. researching about your pet before you buy them is the best thing and main thin a person should do. then buy the pet with proper care/set up.
