Hi, my name is Zendaya, I'm 15, and this summer my mom wants me to get a job. I am not willing to get a job in a fast food place because I wont be able to stomach the smell. It's the serious truth, everytime I go into a fast food place I feel like I'm going to vomit. I live in Colorado, and I really wanted a job that had flexible hours, hired 15 year olds, and I really wanted to work in a clothing store, or jewlrye, or make up, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding one. I couldn't meet the requirements for Forever 21, Ross, Old Navey, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Wet seal, Nordstom, Claires, or CHarming Charlies. ANY IDEAS? I applied to King Soopers a week ago but they haven't contacted me yet. And I'm not trying to be picky, I just want a job I'll be happy at.

Finding a job at your age can be tough, but don't give up! If you can't find a job at a store you like, you might want to try something like babysitting or delivering newspapers. Depending on what job you get, you can make some decent money and still have flexible hours. If you choose babysitting, first see if there is a babysitting course in your area that teaches child safety and first-aid. Parents love it if you have this! Another place you can try to work is in a pet store. PetSmart is a really good one and has a few locations in Colorado.

Don't just phone. Go to a prospective work place in person. Also, dress how you would if you were going to start working there right when you walk in. Be confident in the interview, and look the interviewer in the eye.
